Morning Tour - City of London and National Army Museum

Our tour takes us into the City of London, the scene of World War II’s heaviest bombings. As we pass over London Bridge we compare today's modern skyline to how it looked at the height of the Blitz. Hear about the remarkable saving of St Paul's Cathedral and its effect on the people of London.

We then head west to Chelsea, home of the Royal Hospital and the famous Chelsea Pensioners. Here we stop to visit the National Army Museum and explore the role of the British Army in their defence of democracy.

Afternoon Tour - Westminster, the West End and Churchill War Rooms

The afternoon tour passes through Parliament Square to Whitehall to see the Statue of Sir Winston Churchill and the Cenotaph, site of the annual Remembrance Service. Visit Grosvenor Square, where many of the US forces were based and see the statues of US Presidents Roosevelt and Eisenhower.

We continue on to the West End, where we will see the bar named after Glen Miller and the famous Rainbow Corner. Finally we have the opportunity to visit the Churchill War Rooms (admission not included) an underground maze of rooms, which served as Winston Churchill's command centre.
